This strategy of outsourcing content does cost you more, but may you’re your efforts compounded in terms of results. They should be knowledgeable with all the jargon and terms and have a good working understanding of how to get your site to show up at the top of the search engine results pages (SERPs). This is what ‘it’ is all about. If you are not able to show up in the top of the search engines, like Google or Yahoo for the terms that people search relating to your business, then you will not have a successful venture online. This is that big question, “how do you do that?”.

Again, you could hire a consulting company to do this or you can take over the job yourself. What this really entails is getting a lot of links pointing back to your website for the terms that you are hoping to get high rank in the search engines for. Basically, if this firm has few contacts in your field, they will be using the same article marketing directories that you would be using. 

In other words, if you are trying to get that top spot for ‘Los Angeles Real Estate’, you are going to have to have realistic expectation as to how long that might take, if ever, to get there. There is tremendous competition in that location online and there are years at work and big money at play in that business. However, you might find that ‘handcrafted hamster wheels’ is much easier to rank for. Whether or not someone actually buys those is another story, so you’ll need to research your market first. Market research in an online business is a little bit different than a traditional storefront. Online, the market should be quite narrow to allow you to apply the principles of good niche marketing that can provide useful information to a small group of people searching for what you have. If you are trying to be a one-stop-shop, you will likely have a much harder time getting your online efforts off the ground. Keep this fact in mind before you put in too much work.

One way is by writing superb material and making that available to others who will naturally find it and link back to it as a way of saying ‘here is where I got this great information’. Another way is to submit your articles to an article directory type of site and get the word out that way about your site. This is great because you get to control the information you are teaching and it can provide people with an idea as to what your site is about. The articles can be seen as brief excerpts of the larger articles or information that can be found by visiting your site. So, get writing and get to the top of those search engines!
